Unshakable

As Christians, we look forward to an unshakable kingdom,¹ a place where the only surprises will be how great the Jesus' love for us really was and how unexpectedly immeasurable the riches of his grace and kindness are to us. We will no longer be shocked at the lows to which human nature can stoop or the heights of audacity corrupt individuals can rise to. God’s coming kingdom will be ruled with perfect justice. ²

Rising costs and elevated stress levels will be replaced by increasing peace and unending joy. ³ Death will give way to life and uncertainty will be a lost concept. The future will no longer be a cause for worry. The unexpected will be happily anticipated, not feared. No more broken relationships, only perfect harmony.

All because of grace.

Grace is what we needed, and grace is what God gave us,

So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

What grace has accomplished and is accomplishing in our lives is secure; it is a good gift. ⁵ In Him we are in safe keeping, never left alone or set aside. All that we entrust to Him is well-guarded. These are unshakable truths; promises you can hold on to.

All of the pains we experience in this life are opportunities for trust - trust in our faithful God - and reminders that this world is not our home; heaven is,

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. ⁶

The next time you feel weary, remember this. The One who grows you knows you and wants you to experience the strength of His joy. ⁷ May it be so.
