A Prayer for Today

Lord Jesus, you are supreme!

Head over all things, king of kings, given to us, your people, your church. At your feet the demons shudder. In you all things hold together. Concept and material, idea and created objects, circumstance and person. You are Lord over all.

Let these truths settle deeply and safely in our hearts, and may they bring us constant consolation. You are our comfort - what a gift you are!

Through these fiery trials we come forth as refined gold, for all you do is out of the goodness of your heart; and we are your children. Thank you for bringing us in, and purchasing us, freeing us, by your blood. We rejoice, we delight in your amazing grace!
